The New York production team of Filo & Peri have raised the bar with their latest album and with a backdrop like New York for inspiration they have produced their best work to date. The new single 'Soul and the Sun' enlists the help of long time friend Eric Lumiere, who is no stranger to Filo & Peri. He produced the vocals for the emphatic 'Anthem' that set dance floors alight all over the world and introduced us all to his very talented vocal delivery. His latest vocal harmonics are a joy to the ear with a passionately deep mood that soon sparks into an epic uplifting production that Filo & Peri have fast become the master of.
They have had the addition of the skills of Giuseppe Ottaviani who raises the temperature up a notch with his energetic remix. Bubbling with a classic string the Italian has been pleasuring ears for years with, it's yet again another masterpiece from the artist who recently brought us his debut album 'GO!' If anyone can make a record go with a bang it is Mr Ottavinai.
Taking you on a different trip altogether is the progressive beats of Jerome Isma-Ae. Managing to mix together the core elements of the original but creating a dark atmosphere that breaks up with gorgeous harmonics and the epic vocal from Eric Lumiere. Welcome to the latest installment of Filo and Peri's success! The world-renowned DJs and producers are once again displaying their muscle and combining forces with illustrious talent to create nirvana in Nightplay, a truly unstoppable album.
The first scintillating release is a team-up with known singer Aruna for the future classic 'Ashley'. For over a decade, Aruna has stood tall on her own in music realms. It's no surprise she'd again supersize her performance, gracing us with stunning, emotive vocals that will have even the shyest people singing at the top of their lungs.
Legendary Alex M.O.R.P.H. doesn't hold back with his rendition of Ashley, immediately blending his trademark uplifting sound with luscious vocals and ethereal breakdowns. Moody and pumping, you've gotta admit this track is rocking!
First State also scores high marks in remixing this trance beauty. Much like the mythological Sirens, First State's captivating piano and violin serenade you -- delicately twisting emotions and pulling you into their grasp, only to cast you back into a filthy, driving bass line.
